‘Ecology Conservation and Management’ certification will guide students through ecology principles and wildlife management
LUBBOCK, Texas and MEMPHIS, Tenn. (May 16, 2018) – Responsible land and water use, along with conservation methods, are important for the future of natural resources. To help the next generation understand ecology issues and gain experience in the field that helps lead to a meaningful career, CEV Multimedia and Ducks Unlimited are joining forces to develop the Ducks Unlimited Ecology Conservation and Management certification.
Endorsed by the world's leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation and delivered through iCEV, the certification lessons will cover 12 key areas of wildlife ecology:
North American Model of Wildlife Conservation
Wildlife Population Ecology
Wildlife ID Series
Principles of Habitat Conservation & Management
Forests: Conservation & Management
Grasslands: Conservation & Management
Wetlands: Conservation & Management
Wetlands: Ecosystem Goods & Services
Waterfowl: Conservation & Management
“Today’s students will go on to craft and enact the policies that protect our natural resources,” said Mark Horobetz, Ducks Unlimited manager of youth and education programs. “It’s important that students understand not only the conservation and ecology of wildlife and wildlife habitat, but also their personal roles as future stewards. That’s why partnering with CEV Multimedia on this educational content is important to Ducks Unlimited.”
The Ducks Unlimited Ecology Conservation and Management certification is the latest in CEV Multimedia’s expanding suite of certifications. Other organizations endorsing iCEV certifications include Express Employment Professionals, American Meat Science Association, Elanco, Bayer CropScience, Benz School of Floral Design, National Collegiate Livestock Coaches Association, Equipment & Engine Training Council, and Southwest Airlines.
“Completing these lessons and earning the Ducks Unlimited certification will give students the knowledge and confidence they need in order to pursue careers in wildlife ecology,” said CEV Multimedia Vice President of Brand Management Clayton Franklin. “With the backing of a respected organization such as Ducks Unlimited, this certification will be a valuable credential for students.”
CEV Multimedia and Ducks Unlimited are collaborating on the lessons and certification exam. Materials are expected to be available for instructors and students in spring 2019.
